BMB | Borrow my Brain Consulting Limited is a service company offering advisory sessions, workshops and bespoke trainings on Brand, Stories, and Digital to business owners, marketers, agencies and young talent in the on-going Transformation. The company was founded to serve the Growth efforts of SME’s in Europe.

Q: Who’s Borrow My Brain?

Borrow My Brain was co-founded by Tasos Pagakis, Senior Consultant and his silent partners with the Mission to ignite passion and growth for Brands & Stories. He is an experienced Marketer and Communicator. A unique breed executive. His pen, advice, and actionable insights have supported thousands of Brand propositions and campaigns off-and-online for business owners, marketers and agencies, in more than 57 markets and cross-industries. Currently, BMB scales with an agile team of senior Consultants that form a more competent, wider perspectives’ team.

Q: Why Borrow My Brain?

The Marketing world is full of agencies asked to execute a Brief. Although they say they work strategic, they care for the implementation and the revenue sustainability. Borrow my Brain Consulting offers Services divided into Branding, Storytelling and Digital. All services are modelled on the very concept of charging one hour, no matter the project critical importance or length. To bring transparency and easiness to the Marketer / Client. To avoid over-charging. Not to be one more operating expense, or another executing agency but a valuable brain-partner.

Q: What is the purpose of the Branding & Storytelling consulting sessions?

The idea is simple: we come prepared to discuss an issue that a Marketer has, or review an annual plan, or a planned campaign. By doing that, we try to conceptualize and lead-in practical thoughts on improvements in budget, priorities, creativity and channels. The format is modelled on the one-hour duration to discuss: a) Growth marketing, b) Branding, c) Communication narratives and actions, and d) Digital presence choices as one. The sessions are offered at low-cost-entry, but provide high value to help our Clients’ Brands to ignite again.

Q: What is the purpose of the Branding & Storytelling workshops?

The workshops aim to serve teams think clear, make them embrace the company strategy and act as Brand ambassadors while working as a team on new Ideas. Workshopping means you go out of the comfort zone and you must find answers, out of the usual routine, that tackle consumer insights and customer journey decisions. The workshops offer stimuli, learnings, and marketing know-how – always adapted to the Client’s business and related market context.

Q: Which is the Borrow my Brain team?

Our team includes Brand workers, strategists, digital experts and creatives. We started to Borrow My Brain in December 2017 as an agile tiger team of experts in their field. Committed and passionate to support great Brands with actionable ideas and helpful views. Some of us are more left-brain, some more right-brain and some straight up the middle. Q: Why you say, you’re not an Agency?

Because our team is really agile. We all have our personal endeavours, jobs, or online businesses. All of us have built their transition plans in the online economy. We’ve tested what is working and how. We came together, under the Borrow My Brain Mission, and we form dedicated project-teams as per the Client’s needs. No hierarchies. No lousy, time-wasting meetings. No ‘blah blah’ theories. We coordinate daily for the projects, sessions, and workshops we do, so as to only focus on practical, measurable, and successful input and ideas to our Clients. And yes, we’re not interested in the Client’s budget. We don’t charge commissions.

Q: Do you work smoothly with Client / Marketer’s teams?

We respect our Client’s Culture, but we always question “Why’s” on their ways of working and marketing policies. We definitely become one, working as true partners, with our Client’s teams. We give them more choices and actionable thoughts. We listen a lot. We read analytics, data, and best cases before speaking out. Our goal is that when we’re done, they’ll invite us to their kids’ birthday parties. And we’ll try not to talk about Brands!

Pricing

Q: What is your pricing policy?

Borrow my Brain Consulting is fair in pricing. We’re neither Cheap nor Expensive. We’re Fair! It keeps us from being cheap and just phoning it in and being expensive and just doing it for the money. With Borrow My Brain Client’s don’t pay overheads of costly operating expenses, that we don’t have, but simply for the hourage costs and value provided. Each charge we do is for our working time only and the value we provide.

Q: Why fair pricing and not ‘premium’?

People around us are faced with challenges, and transitions in life, career, and business. We all live in the post-recession era that will last for 20 years more until the world finds a new equilibrium. In this context, transferring know-how and exchanging experiences, hard-facts, insights are essential. You can’t easily price the value of these consultative discussions (and the e-Courses) offerings. But what we know from our own career path, is that value comes when you can carve the world around you; when you help someone improve; when you contribute value.

Q: What is the lowest ‘barrier to entry’?

BMB sessions start from the level of €110 before VAT and might reach higher levels, dependant on the nature of the project or amount of work as requested by the Client. But prices remain always fair and affordable and a logical investment for recipients of these adding-value services. You know, all people should have access to the highest quality actionable know-how, regardless of background or socioeconomic status, meanwhile we will continue to promote a reasonable value of the services we offer to Clients.

Q: How do we work together?

Each consulting session is one-to-one, confidential and is being done over Skype, to facilitate more productivity. Of course, face-to-face is an option if Client’s and BMB’s calendar permit that. We come prepared, having studied before your market/context/online universe, if you give us a brief summary upfront of your Brand, Storytelling or Digital issue and/or project. We try to include as many practical answers to your questions in the advisory session. We sum it up in a few action points, so you have everything at hand. You borrow our brain, you enrich the execution of the plan you have in front of you.

Q: How do you handle competitive Clients/Brands?

Once Borrow My Brain is assigned with a long-term project or an ad-hoc set of Consulting sessions with Client X, we don’t undertake similar projects, from other Client(s), in the same industry or segment. This is a clear policy we have. The reason for this it trifold: a) we are very ethical, so non-disclosure is a top-rule, b) when we work with a Client, we wish they become winners and leaders in their market (so no challenges are served), and c) we are building Borrow My Brain in the long-term with mutual trust.

Q: How quick are you?

Borrow My Brain looks at the outcome and the best option to get there. No hustle. No BS… No time-consuming meetings, just to meet. So we try to borrow our brain the soonest possible and we move to the next project. Requests are handled on the same day. Answers are given on-the-spot. Skype consulting meetings are solving issues; are not prolonging the knowledge exchange, just to charge more.

It is critical to say, that Borrow My Brain is a tool to the Client’s hands. So ask as direct and clear as you can, and you’ll get immediately the answers you need.

Q: How long can a Brand project take?

When we review a plan, give-in an expert opinion, or write a piece of content, then the time is not an issue. We do it fast. We work and live by the hour of providing senior input to our Clients. If a Brand project needs more space and time, then possibly we might do a planning workshop. But again, all issues are answered practically, measurably, in an actionable mode within the time-frame of the Service exchange.

Q: How do you compare your e-Courses to others? Expensive or not?

All the e-Courses included and offered at Borrow My Brain have been designed for maximum value-add, practical insights and information to Business Owners, CMO and Communication teams, and Talent.
